I'm 19, and I seriously would go with the Protege5. Its not fast straight out of the dealership, but there are performance parts coming out as we speak! With the mods I have, I've been winning quite a few races. My next shot is the turbo & Nitrous. I cant even imagine how fast it will go then.

Have had my 97 putt putt for 3 years now..
Have had no MAJOR problems with it...
Looking for a new car now before this one goes kaput on me though( I hate doing any type of maintenance)

Get a pro they are sooooo fun to drive, make sure you get stick. My friends have driven it and say that they love the way it drives and that it is definitely faster than a Honda civic. I have had no problems with the car and it has 70,000 miles, yep a lot for a 99, but well hope you get a pro

 

I let my Z24 friend drive my car and he loved the handling and the braking. Plus I know that he likes the looks better but he won't admit it. Anyone that's driven my car has loved it.

Get the Protege, you know you'll never forgive yourself if you don't.

 

My mom wanted a new car and she let me do the research....there I was 6 months later (no hury) still not waning to pay so much for a civic which I initially chose..but then one day I saw this yellow P5 parked in front of future shop and just like the other 20 people already looking at the car, I stoped and went to look at it. I was totaly impresed.....but I didnt know that it was this afordable and you would get soo much for your money.

In June 2001 we went and got a Red P5 (auto). I drove that car for the past year and on July 27 2002, I got mine (Yellow, 5Speed, AC & roof)...but not before doing some research again. Not that I wasn't impresed with the P5, cuz I really was and so is everyone that parks in the same garage as me. I just wanted to compere cars again, see what else is out there.

Anyway, I'm 22 now.

Damn!! Almost 20, sounds too responsible to me!! I want to stay 19 forever.

I've had my '93 for three years... though it was stored away in a garage for most of last year.

 

I'm 19 and have had my P5 for a little over two weeks now and have loved every minute of it. I agree with previous posts in that my friends like the car and the ones that don't will be begging me to let them ride in my car when we wanna go out and they can't fit anyone in their car

 

This green freak is 19 and will be turning 20 in October...

And Chastan, I don't know about you, but I can't wait to be 20, because that's one more year before 21. I know that 21 is a bigger deal to younger ppl than it is to ppl that are actually 21, but oh well.

Oh and yeah, go with the Pro. GOT TO LOVE IT!
