Unhappy

$1400 / year. 33, male, single, live in the city, clean record, 10-year good-driver and longevity discount at GEICO.

Sheesh. But I have comprehensive. My old car I had just liability and paid almost $500 / year.

well, I guess I'm not doing too bad. Here goes

32, married, wife 32, three cars, all full coverage, every credit I could possibly get (i.e., multi policy, multi car discount, professionals group discount, preferred coverage rates, carpool, alarm credits, no medical {we've got HMO, so I declined medical}, full UM/UDM, no towing, and $2,000 extra stereo coverage endorsement on my Sol, $1,200 extra stereo coverage endorsement on my Civic) and I pay about $1,750/year of which I pay about $150 for the extra stereo coverage. whew!

Same here! I had basic coverage on my old '96 Civic and it was only $545/yr. Now with my p5 (financed) and full coverage it's about $2,600/yr.

But my old car was OLD! A 1986 SAAB 900S I bought in 1998. Great car. JFor no apparent reason, I just finally decided to go new. The engine was great, and will last forever, but the little things went wrong. The final straw was a leaky sunroof. But driving the SAAB was still better than most cars today. Very tight handling. The Pro5 is a good substitute!

Damn some of you people pay a GRIP in insurance! I never realized California had such low rates.

I have full coverage with 100/300/50 limites on my 2002 P5 and my girlfriends 2000 Audi A4 PLUS I lowered the comprehensive deductible to $50 PLUS I also insure my wheels separately (just in case). PLUS I have gap insurance on my P5. I pay $110/month through Mercury.

I'm 25 with a perfect driving record.

Sounds like some of you should shop around!

20 years old. No claims, no charges, no tickets.

415 Cdn a month...same as my monthly car payments.

Everything is in my own name too so I guess that doesnt help. Insurance companies are bigger crooks than the government.
