the honda update thread

just gonna keep updates on how progress goes on the honda so far i paid
$150 for the car
$88 for waterpump spark plugs head gasket and a book on the car
$34 dollars in oil change stuff and coolant
$75 dollars to get it towed to my house*although it does run it wasnt legal to drive so i just did it the safe way
so far i have $347dollars in it all together...
THE BAD:
the oil out of it was as thick(like pudding) gunky and grey, and had about 7 1/2 Quarts in it when it calls for 3.2
there was oil in the spark plugs(caused by head gasket)
the rear windows will roll down but not up lol
the interior is Trashed bad, looks like someone rubbed **** everywhere im going to strip it completely
i can see the flywheel from under the car(im guessing just a cover is missing or something but it drives decently
and it wont hold antifreeze due to bad water pump(leaking out of the weep holes)
THE GOOD:
it does run the alternator, starter, tires, block, radiator, and all other main components are good
it was only $150
the body is in excellent condition minus about 2 small dents and a very minor scratch on the bumper

in these days of $3 a gallon headed for $4 a gallon gas, seems like an excellent investment, and a worthwhile project
