Keep watching it, maybe you'll catch it in the act. There's no way to tell male/female in goldfish.

What the.......

Is there some sort of restriction for male or female having what kind of pets?

These goldfishes belong to me and my wife together. We also have some cats too.

nah, just that i think gfish are kinda boring. i have a fish, butt ugly too. but it's more aggressive than gold's... kind of a "guy's" fish...
but if u like ur goldies that's cool. i was just wondering is all.

i have a schitzo oscar. some days he looks like he's gonna die. others he rips around the tank and busts everything up. i wish he'd make up his mind and either live or die. feeder fish gets pretty expensive after awhile...

I see.
Well, as a kind of "decorative object", I think they are more fun to look at than all my other "non-moving decorative objects" inside my home.

Anyway, the eggs have hatched and I found some tiny little fish babies this morning. They are about the same size as a single eyebrow hair.

When I was in the 6th grade....

WE had fish tanks and things in my class and one of the fish had babies... so the teacher was giving them away.. Well I wanted one.. we had a huge fish tank at home with all kinds of fish. Well when i got the fish home and put it in the tank... one of the sharks ate it!!! it wasnt even in ther for 10 seconds..!! it was so small... the shark thought it was fish food i guess!!! Poor fish!! I thought my teacher was gonna kill me!!!

when we feed my oscar, i always root for the feeder fish. i figure if he could stay alive just long enuff, and hide as much as possible, oneday he'll be too big to eat...
but that's never happened.
and feeder fish never get too big for my oscar.

^^^ damn, i'd love to have a pirhana.
i've had a arrowana. graceful but boring.
my oscar is pretty punchy. i like his personality.
...but a pirhana would rule. thre are some in the streams here, but illegal to be in possesion of...

i guess goldies are nice too. i don't think they're all that nice to look at, but a lot better than my oscar.

haha i never said they were legal! Shhhhh

Nah they are illegal in Virginia but are legal in Maryland. I keep em at my firends Jeremy's place in Maryland. Heavy penalty for having them in Virginia. I aint about to go to jail.

try being in hawaii. game and wildlife coppers are always on the lookout and the penalties are HARSH. since our ecosystem depends on keeping predators out, it's a very tuff place to have illegal animals/plants...

misbehave, did u ever find out who the mama was?
