Wink hatchback or sedan

which car do you folks recommend?

the mazda 3 hatchback or the mazda 3s sedan.

what are the advantages and disadvantages?

looks like the 5 door hatchback could be useful.

any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

I'm right with Kansei on this one.

The hatch looks a little meaty in general, and its hood looks particularly odd.

i drive an '07 sedan.
i love it.
however, alot of ppl around here with hatch's but mazdaspeed bumpers/spoilers on their car.
you cant do that with the sedan very easily.

um......
i find ALOT of females drive the sedan, while more male drive the hatch.

altho i tihnk the sedan is cheaper?

I vote for sedan as well. I like hatchbacks but the Mazda3 hatch doesn't look right to me.

no, I've been a mod for months.. I probably didn't even have 100 posts at the time. I'm just a mod of the tech/how-to and northeastern us sections

I vote for the Hatch in a stick. The sedan just never caught my eye. Plus the sedan blends in (as I see more of them then the hatch).

get the stick, it'll be more fun and probably won't let you fall asleep if your tired.

the hatch is practical, but visually heavy--almost needing the Mazdaspeed treatment to back up the looks. the sedan looks more lithe, and more proper in front drive form. plus it probably weighs less.

my thoughts.

I had a 3S hatch and I loved it. The only thing I didn't love was the automatic tranny. For me, the sedan looks like it has a fat ***. Looks very bland from the side. The hatch gives the side and rear profiles a lot of character.

I can't do a sedan

the sides/rear do not make up for this mug

at least on the MS3 they put the grille at or below headlight level.. grille that reaches above headlights = pt cruiser look
