Thumbs up Got rear-ended... no damage

I got rear ended today by a car that was doing about 10mph... there was absolutely no damage. I was impressed that there was not even a scratch on the paint.... nothing. I already checked the trunk, the well where the spare tire sits, the exhaust, the trunk lid lineup with the edges of the car, the lights... everything. Nothing happened.

The other car (a Toyota) had the bumper pushed back, and one of the headlights got crooked. He´s probably going to get home and start wondering if he should have gotten a Pro instead of the Toyota.

i think the re-inforcements under the bumber can be damaged as well. might want to check that quickly as well.

but impressive none-the-less

I just checked... it seems his bumper hit mine at the height of the towing hooks (I think that´s what they are called), so they stopped the impact, but they are just fine... not even bent.

The thing was that I had to stop pretty hard (the guy infront of me slammed on his brakes), and I was able to see the guy behind me (I always look at the rear-views when I stop too hard), and saw him moving fast towards me... so I had just enough time to let go of the brakes and allow some of the force to push me forward instead of having my foot on the brake and having the car absorb all the force.

I wasn't as lucky...I was rear ended by an older MPV a month or so ago...the light fixture that illuminates the front plate put a hole in my bumper...check my site and you can see the damage lol

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday at lunch. I was driving my 02 Spec V and was stuck behind a bunch of people turning, a 94 Toyota Pickup came up behind me at 30mph and slammed on his brakes and slid. I stuck it in first gear and tried to get out of the way but he still ended up tapping me.

Theres a small indent from his license plate but other than that it wasn't any big damage. If I hadn't moved there would have been a great big chunk of my rear end missing. Now I'm stuck looking at the minor damage and wishing I didn't go to lunch yesterday.

Agh! What's with all these bumps from the rear!! Heh a girl in an Acura bumped me the other day too. Only a little. It left a scratch down the back of the bumper (like I don't have a million already). Well I didn't really care but now she has green paint on an otherwise pure white car!!!
