Gonna be rollin in a Caddi

As some may know, my family and I are going through some tough times...

Upon finding out that our P5 got repossessed, my grandmother decided to give us her 1994 Cadilla DeVille Concours. It's really nice...pristine condition, ney brakes, new A/C (r134a), new motor mounts, 52000 miles, leather, everything. 1994 is the first or second year with 'rounded' styling, not the fugly boxy style of the '80's. Anyway, it has a 4.9L Northstar V8 (here comes a Fiero in a few years!) and I would like some performance numbers for it. I know it's heavy as hell and handles like sh*t, but hey, it's a Caddi!

I saw somewhere that it gets like 7.5 0-60mph and 15.8 1/4 mile. Anyone know for sure?

I'm gonna be rollin in luxury now...can't wait (weekend after next).

Since my Pro got wrecked, I am now the proud driver of my father's old Cadillac.

It's a 1988 Cadillac Brougham D'Elegance, so it's basically a limited edition super-luxury sedan of the 80s.

It's a 275 hp/305 lbs-ft 4.5 liter V8.

The car weighs about 5000 lbs and hanles like a big boat. It comes with electronic everything though, and self-adjusting shocks, so every time the chassis is not completely level, an air compressor goes on to pump up the shocks to compensate.

The electronic fuel data center is also pretty useful, and with the press of a button I get instant gas mileage, range, avg. gas mileage and fuel usage.

This all can be converted to L/100km and everything else to the metric system. It's quite neat.

The car has 180,000 miles on it and still runs like a champ. It's about as fast as my Protege, which is saying something for a car this big and bloated.

The Northstar never came in a 4.9 Liter. You got the DeVille base engine which is less efficient than the Norhtstar. It's a 200 Hp/275 lbs-ft engine, as opposed to the 300 Hp / 295 lbs-ft monster of a Northstar.

Either way, the Cadillac can haul ***. AS far as 0-60 and 1/4 mile.... who cares? You're driving THE pimp mobile.
