No 2001's in the US, but the 2002's started selling in 2001.
You can get a 2002 with 30k-50k miles for something around 17k-18k. Mods don't seem to affect the price very much, if any at all.
I sold my 2003 for 20k.
I've seen 2002's go for 16k.
