The gas prices in town went from 1.92, to like 1.99...now its 2.02..
Is this happening to anyone else?
Or can someone tell my why prices are going up this time?

prices r goin up because the demand for it is higher...

Northen hemisphere winter = much much more energy consumed... which drives demand higher...

every little thing that happens in the world from now on will have an impact on gas prices hehe unfortunatly

I'll trade ya your gas prices for mine...

We are at 2.19-2.29 for regular

Still better than Europe. But It's kind of a slap in the face when the Oil Co.'s post record Profits this year.

Still waiting for Mazda to give us a Turbo Diesel. Go Bio-Diesel !!!

the oil industry (in america) is the only one I know of that regulates price based on NOTHING.

Supply and demand has nothing to do with it even though thats the excuse they use.

During the hurricane season prices skyrocketed EXPECTING their to be supply disruptions. These never happened. Prices soared and nothing was done about it while the american people were PUNISHED at the pumps. Luckily the democrats decided to pressure the oil fat cats (republicans) and pressured them for price-gouging legislation. Even in this inquisition the oil ceo's were NEVER required to swear in meaning they were free to lie without fear of purgory....and lie they did. The press released their statements and the facts and SUPRISINGLY prices dropped almost $0.60/gallon instantly....funny how that works huh?

When your president is a Texas oil buffon and your VP is a former CEO (with STRONG financial ties to his former oil company) and you've wrongfully invaded an oil rich country you can pretty much charge whatever you want for gas.

I friggin hate this country now. I can't wait for 08. Maybe Bush will get aids or something positive.

he's on the metric system so he buys gas by the liter, not gallon. Also, over there they their octane is measured differently. 98RON is about like 96octane. From what my father-in-law tells me, in england they have 2 octane levels, 96 and 100. Only americans get the shittiest, most watered-down fuel in the world even though we have some of the nicest cars in the world.

it's called diesel and we have plenty of it. Also we (the government) are PAYING farmers NOT to grow food or product on their land....did ya know that? It's cheaper to give them handouts than it is to buy their food and compete in a global economy.

Why the government doesn't pay our farmers to grow SOY is beyond me. SOY is an extremely valuable resource. It'll grow in just about any climate and soil type. It can be used for anything from food to fuel. Imagine if our farmers started growing our own gas. Prices would plummit and the oil execs (and republicans) wouldn't make any money.

Diesel is sorely underrated. I never thought about it until we bought the TDi beetle but that's a helluva powerplant in this little car. VW even has a 1.5L TDi sports car concept that makes 150bhp and 240tq in a car the size of a miata. All the while getting 69mpg....69. Stupid Americans only buy SUV's and V8's though so this technology will take decades to get to us when we need it now.

stupid stupid americans.

haha, lets start a car company that uses that as fuel and we can put all others out of business and we could rule the world!
