ahhh you Americans amuse me! I just think its so petty for them to rename food because they don't have the support of that country...I mean if Canada didn't support, what would New York Fries do??? Poutine was invented in Canada, so are they going to call it Freedom Fries drizzled with Liberty Gravy and Constitutional Cheese Curds? Give me a break!!!

It's like me making fun of you for saying "eh?" Or the fact that "canadian military" is a total oxymoron
And before a flame war starts, it was just an example.

Oh yeah, I hear that some housewife in Bloomington MN. decided that she didn't like the name "hotdogs" because SHE thinks that it implies cruelty to animals and wants to have the name changed.

Yeah our forces are well trained, but the funding and lack of proper equipment is hindering our production. Canada was a integral part of WW II, however, since then things have changed (duh). What really got to me was this woman who wrote into Crossfire on CNN and they had enough guts to read it out...this woman from texas was talking about Canadian support against Iraq, and how we were sending 6000 troops, 2 battleships and some odd number of fighter jets, and she had enough nerve to say with the "exchange rate" it equals a canoe, beaver and something or other. I understand that they don't speak for everyone, as I know many fine Americans, but these people really really irritate me...I just don't get American government, not the ppl (cept that one woman ) I mean, renaming French Fries and French toast due to a lack of French support??? Thats just childish...
BTW my bad on the first post, I should have been more specific, I did not mean Americans in general *slaps self*

But on another note, I do really believe there is some deep seeded secrets behind the French acting the way they do. America sure did not blink an eye when France stated that Kosovo was a threat to its national security. We immediatley sent troops to help them. The American Govt is only asking the same with Iraq which it feels to be a threat to its national security.
However I don't wish to get into a debate about it. Though I am an avid reader of the newspaper and my TV is turned to the news station 90% of the day, I am still confused as to the whole situation. Keeping up 100% on current events is one thing, understand them is another sadly enough.
Blah this world is a mess.

The other thing I find "childish" are the people that are refusing to buy stuff made in France. Hello McFly, how many things are actually made in the USA any more. How much is made in North Korea! Also, no one is talking about banning Russian Vodka, yet Russia has also stated that they would veto any UN war resolution.
I hate politics.
Any one want to to start a tribe down in South America, and leave all the chest thumping behind?
Just my rant.

Well supposedly the French rely on the oil supply from Iraq, so it would be in their best interest to stand aside from this matter, but to veto this matter, there's something fishy...its one thing to not go to war, its another to prevent others from protecting their borders...the veto is just not justified...and whats up with Russia?!?!?! They are going to veto as well!!!
