Fast Lane can bite my ***!

Living and commuting to work in Central MA, I got tired of paying tolls "manually", esp after being stuck in traffic for a bunch, on the Mass Pike.

Looked into Fast Lane. $27.50 for the transponder (refundable within 90 days, but I'm intending to use the thing for years), plus a $25 deposit on top.

No way! Did some more research and now I'm cruisin' around with a NY EZPass, free transponder! Deposit money all goes to tolls, no need to sink $27.50.

I called up NY EZPass, conversation goes like this:

Me: Hi! If I live in NJ, can I still get NY EZpass?
(I'm trying to be a smart-***, you know, working it slow...)

Rep: Yes, you can.

Me: Now what if I live in PA?

Rep: Yep, you can.

(Ok, let's try a state farther away now... like MA)
Me: Now what if I live in...

(The rep interrupts me)
Rep: Listen, sir, if you live in CA, you can still get NY EZPass.

I'm like "w00t", and went and filled out the online application w/ my MA address. A week later, no sweat: mail's got my EZpass!

Oh really? I thought EZPass was only a NorthEast kind of occurrence.

shoot try going through the GWB (George Wash. Bridge) on a weekend ...

Funny how EZP only makes a minimal difference, as once you get through , your still in traffic.....
