That is bad *** (sorry to repeat that)
I am wondering when this will become an option for our cars in the near future? Especially when you have to drive into the sun on the highway...in stop and go traffic...would definately cut down on the accidents that we have...

This technology IS already available for the home - at a price, of course.
What I've seen are windows that go from clear to "frosted" with the flip of a switch. Awesome for bathrooms, big front doors, etc. They were not tinted, just frosted, bu the technology is the same.
I would expect this will creep into the BMW/Mercedes?other big-bucks cars market within 5 years or so. Once the maunfacturing costs start to become reasonable.
Actually - curved glass may be another hurdle. I'm not sure if the technology exists to MAKE this stuff in curved sections for automotive use, although it would function the same as flat panels.
We shall see, I guess......
