Yeah
He emailed me last night and doesn't know where the package is. Theres still a chance that he could come through, but he initially promised one week delivery and it's been almost a month.
He keeps writing back saying that the shipping company lost the package and he's trying to work things out, but he wont give me the name of the company or any of his information. I'm on the phone with the Vancouver Police Dept. right now, maybe they can help.

I've bought alot of things over the 'net'. There have only been a couple of times where people tried to take my money without giving me my product.
There are 2 good ways to make sure you get your product.
1: go thru a Escrow service. An escrow service will hold your payment until you've received, inspected and approved the item. Only then does the escrow service pay the seller.
2: Use a money order and regestering of your letter, and ask to have your package sent by registered mail and make sure you get the tracking number from him.
Useing a money order is good because there are tracking numbers on it and knowing those numbers has saved me a couple of times. I actually had the USPS fraud division help me one time.

i agree with the last post completely. lost in the mail my ***. i would keep on it with the cops. as much as i hate the bastards, maybe they can help you figure out what all this is aboot. (oh god, sorry, horrible canadian joke). i hope the little bastard gets royally screwed, gets locked up, and you get your money back along with that front lip. good luck!
Quicker way to resolve host name:
"ping -a" <IP Address>
There is another one too but it slips my mind at the moment.
And most broadband ISP's do not give static IP addresses. They issue DHCP IP addresses and usually make sure they change every couple of days or so (makes it harder for you to run a website on your non-commercial broadband connection).

It's OVER
Just wanted to let everyone know that, I've been given my money back by my credit card company. I hope they caught the bastard, I sent them about 40 pages of e-mail evidence.
Lesson: Don't buy from people you don't know and save all your e-mails.

Yeah!!!
Finally a happy conclusion to the bogus mailings. I wonder if the individual who took your money is still using this forum? He should be definately banned from this site. What a stupid stunt to start off with.
