hehe...

I dont know about hondas, but what I have talked to my friends having hondas, is that in a Type R engine, almost everything changes on the internals.

Cams
short Piston size
Shorter piston trip
Injection
and a lot more inside, but, as my english is limited, I cant tell all other parts.
I can only visualize that it is like....the engine body is the same, all the internals change.
Thats why they can rev up a lot. Its like a motorcycle technology in a car.

Any help here will be hot... (quote from star wars)

Exclamation YEEAHHHHH

Just the VTEC DOHC is like ermmmmm an Adrenaline Generator, Imagine the Type R revving up, activating the VTEC at 6500rpm and still revving up faster and stronger to 9500rpm!!!!!!!

I have here in my pc a little clip of an integra accelerating from 0mph activating Vtec at 6500 and then throwing 2nd gear. You may actually feel the the power if you have a great speaker system in your PC (with the sub).

My friend has an engine from an Integra Type-R in his civic. B18A or something I think. I haven't gotten to see it yet but he says it's really quick

You should thank your friend for supporting car theft. It makes the world a great place.

well a typeR actaully has everything changed out,

-Highreving 4 banger
-better lower pro wheels
-better springs
-better shocks
-bigger sway bars
-lighter flywheel
-racing seats
-better steering wheel
-bigger breaks (brembo's?)
-bigger tires
-HID lights
-cooler badging (which is not cool anymore.. thanks you ricers pos!)
-cooler headlights
-better sounding exaust (NOT FART CAN)
-engine bay looks cooler
-basically MP3 Vs. Protege LX

Civic Type R's are FAST! 180PS in a car that only weights 2400lbs.. 0-60 in ~6.2sec, and they can out handling anything else in the economy class

Integra Type R's have 200PS and they also go 0-60 in ~6.5s

unlike slow ricers TypeR's are fast, the ITR looks cool but i would rather have an FTO becuase they are cooler

this is a picture of a CTR, they do not come in coupe styles like ricers, only 2dr HB

this is an ITR, also there is a 4dr ITR but its ultra rare and JPN only

the New CTR and ITR are even more powerfull

both of these new TypeR's have 6spd and 200+HP (220HP?)

Got most of it....

A type R also has a torsen limited slip differential.

the tires on a U.S. Integra Type R are no different in size than a GSR. I vaguely remember them being 195/55 R15s. The wheels however are available in gun metal. Leather is not avalable and lighter weight seats with a grippier cloth is standard. The engine is something like B18CA or somthing, which is rated by honda at 197bhp, and mated to a closer ratio 5-sp gearbox. The steering is also quicker. I sort of remember reading that the weight is 100 and some change lighter than a GSR.

For a number of years the Type R, was the best handling FWD production car available. The best part is that, according to SCC, a Mazdaspeed will hand one its ***!

actually the engine code on the integra type r is just B18C, the JDM ones dont have a # after them like the GSR motor = B18C1

The Type R Integras AND Civics have 5 Lug suspension if you look closely, and I believe they ride on 16" Rims stock. I know this because my friends Type R Suspension was stolen when his Integra got jacked.

I'm thinking the new type Rs are coming with 17" wheels stock.

The Type R Civics only came in hatchback versions and have a B16, 1.6L which makes 160hp, i believe

the ITR makes something like 195hp

the new Integra(RSX) Type R has 220hp K20A

new Civic Type R has 200hp K20A

teh USDM motors are K20C

anyway, how to tell if its a REAL type R integra, LOOK AT THE LUGS, 5 Lug = ITR, 4 Lug = Ricerwanna be

Real CTR, umm not in the states, but it would have to be a hatch and right hand drive, thats the only way

they do sell ITRs in the states, but they dont have the Japanese front end, and their engine code is B18C5 (195HP)

I could sit here and tell you all teh differences but i have other topics to browse

As well as painted side sills and a larger rear wing.

Only 500 or so were available in the U.S. each year. It was discountinued in 97 or 98 I forget which, but was brought back in 99
