CF Gauge
#3
Why is the speedometer at 40 and the tachometer at 0. It might be too good to be true. I e-mailed the company and they said they do need the needles to be removed but never has done it himself. He added that he sold gauge units and has not had negative feedback. I'm not so sure about those gauges. APC gave me the same answer about there gauges. I'm yet to find one person put those gauges on right.
But they do look good on paper just like other ones. All I'm saying is be very careful. If you do pursue them, please let me know how you make out. A new cluster gauge is $360 from Mazda and about $75 at a salvage yard if you can find them. I learned my lesson twice.

If the only thing wrong with the gauges were the missing 70 Mark that would be no big thing. The question is getting to that point. I've yet to see or heard of aftermarket gauges working perfectly on the 3rd generation pro'. Does anyone have the answer to the million dollar question. Not one of us smart-asses has the answer.

I hope you guys know that those guage overlays are Simulated Carbon Fiber. Real Carbon Fiber would have a 3 dimensional effect to it......Like the image on the right in the pic below
Not trying to **** anyone off, just wanted to make sure you guys knew.

My inside sources tell me to make a small cut to fit the faces over the needles, but to do this so that the cut is placed behind the needles where they would be hidden. Do my inside sources sound reliable or do they sound like they smoke too much crack?

I don't think so...I've heard of people cutting there gauges so that they could fit them over the needles...http://www.protegeclub.com/forum/sho...&threadid=8930
