I'm mixed on the C6 redering - it's the first I've seen.
I LOVE the C5 Vette. Yes, it has similarities to the NSX, I suppose, but it is unique. I never mistake a Vette for anything else when it's coming at me - or whipping by for that matter.
As for the Subaru Baja - can anyone else say: The RETURN OF THE BRAT!! Ya'll remeber the Brat, don't ya'? Wasn't that a Subie, too? All it needs are the jump-seats in the bed!

Personally I like the design...regardless of what badge is going to be on it..
as far as pop ups....I think they suck....have NEVER liked them on ANYTHING......for the car looks OKAY during the day...but at night or when the lights are on it spoils the flow of the body lines....

A few compaines put out a low-profile flip unit for them - with smaller dual bulbs rather than the 1950's Jaguar sized globes that were in there as stock. I never got around to that upgrade, but at least it was out there.
The current Vette looks pretty good with the flips, IMO. They only pop up a few inches when open, so it's not that bad for he lines of the car. I did see a modded Vette recently with non-flip dual projector lights - they looked a bit like the newest lights on the Mitsu 3000GT, but without the clear cover over them. It was "aight" I guess.
We'll just have to see what the Vette comes out like. I'm not overly impressed with that rendering though - I hope the final product looks a bit more "Vette-ish".

Well, it definitely isn't as close a jump as the C5 was from previous generations. They just kind of took a flying leap. I don't like the new appearance, they just seem to betray the heritage GM has built up since the 50's. But if I were buying a Vette I would want one without those flip-up headlights and more like the C5 racers from Le Mans, etc (I don't remember the factory designation). And if I were buying a Vette I would damn sure want a Z06 which is the best thing GM has done for that line in a decade.

Funny - the Z06 was supposed to become the "stripped-down, performance oriented, budget-minded" Corvette model. They were going to offer it without a lot of the luxury amenities standard on the coupe and convertible, and is was supposed to wind up lighter, more poweful, and less expensive than the regular versions. "More powerful" is all they seem to have been able to do. Market research, I guess.
I'd say offer the Z06 package in all three rooflines, or just do away with that butt-*** ugly hardtop configuration altogether.

OK.
NO some1 did not just DIS the BAJA.
my cousin was the lead designer on that project, and i think it looks pretty sweet. i gotta deffend him. when it was first desgnied it looked alot nicer with one color, but they changed it to the two tone. and it had a massive engine which they took out. if it came the way he designed it it would be a sweet ride. but anyways.
personaly i think the only flaw is the color scheme.

I'd take those pictures on Sound Domain down before I started slinging mud.
Anyway I thought the title of the thread had "Corvette" in the title and not "Baja" (which is an interesting idea for Subaru but hey, its been done).
