The badge said RX-3
I was driving around today, and got pasted by a blue car that was badged a Mazda RX-3.
BUT, it was no RX-3. It was at a heavy intersection, so I had no way to get up to the car, but it really surprised me.
It was a two door small compact car with an arcing Mitsubishi style wing. It did sort of look like and RX-8 with the round front, but the back end was squared off.like you'd see on a Miata. It happened so fast I didn't get a lot of other details (like rear light pattern.)
Damn I wish I had my camera with me.
Anyone else in Rochester seen this? It was near RIT.

It's pretty close to your description. Are you sure you didn't seen an RX3, or was it a newer looking car?

It's possible, but...
You know how you can look at a profile of a car and say when it was made?
Looking at the RX-3 pics, I can see the 70's influence. The profile of the car I saw said 90's. Small front end, minimal lines.
It did remind me of another american made car, but for the life of me I can't remember which one. I'm still searing that.
