Attn: Military Pilots

This question may sound a little odd, but my dad is turning 50 next month and it has always been his dream to fly in a fighter jet, so i was trying to find a way for him to do that as a birthday gift. Ive seen celebrities get escorted rides in jets and i know it is a huge liability for the military to take civilians on ride-alongs, but do you know of any programs that allows people to do this?? Any information you could give me on how to move forward in this would be great. Thanks!!

I don't think so. Celebs get special treatment...we don't.

You might want to google private jet rides or something...never know.

I don't think they are jets, but there are a couple of companies offering mock dogfighting. You fly the plane (with a licensed pilot sitting next to you) and try to shoot the other guy down (they use a system like laser tag). If you hit them their plane starts smoking. If I recall correctly you get a video and everything. Not sure how much it costs though.

ive found a few of these dogfighting programs, the problem is that most of them arent anywhere near by (australia, CA, Nevada, Canada) and that theyre REALLY expensive (lowest ive seen is $1300) so basically im counting on my old teacher to come through for me, otherwise im gonna have to settle for lessons in a cessena twin or something

also, i live pretty close to dover AFB, its pretty big, but i dont know if they do anything like this there
