Attn Members/Owners

All righty, I'm down for putting a small sticker on my car representing ProtegeClub....

That way when people stop and look at my car, they'd be like Wow, that guy's got it goiing on, wonder where he got all that cool stuff and ideas from, and then they'll see the website name and log on........ now I just gotta work on my car hehe, but that's after the sticker

So can people start putting up suggestions for the sticker (don't copy ProtegeTech one!), and then maybe we could submit them to mazdaspeedwest since he's got ways to make them as far as I remember, and he can provide us copies cheap

Another thing for this board that I suggested a while ago, and would be even better now that we've got tons of members....
Let's make a bigggg map on which it shows with little dots or whatever where every owner is, or maybe a list, or whatever, so when you're bored, or organizing a meet in your area, you can look up ex. Vancouver, wow, there's 33 members from here? Didn't know, better let all of them know about this, that, etc.

Follow up people, and especially the guy that runs this board if this is possible, and also about the stickers

i was too lazy to start a new thread about this but, it's a good idea. i'd still put one on the rear windshield. one that covered atleast 3/4 of it, but was only 2 inches thick or something. :\

YAY! i have been waiting for someone to bring this back alive.

I'd be happy to make the decals.

These are 2 i made up awhile ago from the other thread. I will also make up a few with the, ahem..toilet seat logo for those of you who like that better. Colors are pretty much up to you.

Decal#1: large logo

Decal #2: Small logo

Personally.....I like the smaller of the two....and would really like if it the background of the sticker was CLEAR....and the lettering/logo were white.... that BE my vote...if we were taking one.

Question How about a magnet instead

The sticker Idea is way cool, but I am definately adverse to putting adhesives on the car... A lot of people are going with soft magnets these days. They're solid, don't come off at 120 MPH, and don't scratch your car. About the only problem with the magnet is that you can't put it on the window, and you're still going to get a spot from the rest of your paint fading around it.

I like the 2nd one also, preferably with clear background and white/gray lettering. See if you can use the font (or similar) from the Protege5 /new Protege badges.

Instead of using adhesive, maybe use static cling vinyl like the ones dealers put on your windshield after an oil change?

Yellow, white, black, red... If it's only one color, we can't all be happy.

I think we should go for a silver/chrome color that very closely matches the pieces that Mazda puts on the car from the factory... that way no matter whose car it's on, it'll look sharp.

I like the idea of an inside window cling... like the ones that they stick to the inside of the windows at your favorite fast food chain (just not near as big).

reminds me, when I was in college we swiped a huge 99 cent Whopper cling and we had it on the window of our dorm room for the entire year... (we had the stop signs, parking booth arms, and blinking yellow crosswalk signs on the inside inside of our room).

Why not just do a vinyl ctout? All the letters are individual and such, and you can get basically any color you want. My club went through http://www.viggdesigns.com, who does a lot of work for Neons. He did a great job. Cost me a dollar a sticker to get printed.

Looks like a nice shop, question is, do they sell static cling vinyls instead of adhesive ones? I don't see them advertise that on their site... The general consensus here is using a medium that doesn't use adhesives...

I honestly don't know. But how committed to your club are you if you won't put a simple little sticker on your car??? ;-). Besides if you don't like it, all you need is a razor!

I like the inside-the-window clingy idea so it doesn't get screwed up by the weather, and you can remove it.
