Hey Bruce, was it the nitro star 15 fe? If it was, you screwed sombody pretty hard! LOL. The OS 12 Hyper is only like $89 theese days. Phantom Red head is the new craze. Phantom picked up where OS left off.....Bladed rod etc.............Duncan

Damn I have been out of the R/C world for a while .. I want to get back in though .. so what's the new craze in kit(u put it together) r/c nitro cars ..

In the On road "kits" The TC3 is the big thing due to plentiful parts,hop ups, look ups, associated quality, Its just a nasty sedan. It also won the cup this year again. Also the Shumacher is fast as all hell. Serpent is good but looks like a knock off of the TC3. The Traxxas 4 tec is doing good for whatever reason? It says "new 2.5 racing engine" Wich means its still a .15. The 2.5 is 2.5 centimeters of displacement = .15 engine.

In the Stadium class "kits" The xxxNT Drake edition is going good. As always the Associated RC10GT Factory kit is still big. Associated is supposed to be coming out with a new style tranny for the GT soon! The current stealth tranny wont hold up to much more than a OS CVR 12 wich has been left behind "by everyone else"

"non kits" Selling like crazy are the T- and Sport maxx, the HPI Savage, Traxxas Nitro rustler. and the Fanton engine line. There is no difference in output between the Fantom and the Mugen except the Mugen lasts longer if treated right. But price for price and reliability the Fantom is better...................Duncan

HPI has a engine called the Nitro star 15ss. It is the exact same engine as the Nova rossi. In fact Nova makes it and it is $65 cheaper than the Mugen!

My TC3 is hittin around 65 with the new gearing. Ive seen 1 that can do 97mph! If you get a slow one, youll still get about 45mph stock. I did race a 03 chevy truck last night and won, HA!
