anger on the forum

ok ijust wanted to say this, ive been on this board for a while now, like a year and a half, maybe even a lil more, and lately ive been noticing that the minute somone says something dumb or negative, he gets flamed and ****, comeon grow up a lil, its been said many times before, but this place used to be a nice place to chill, when i first joined no one flamed eachother, and if they did, someone made a comment, now theres a flame on every post, even the admins seem to be getting in on it....anyway just wanted to speak my peice, ill probaly get flamed for this, but hey, guess that proves the point

I agree if you don't have something good to say just keep it to yourself.

This has been brought up more and more lately. I totally agree with you, and would like if more people as least read this and think about what kind of image of themselves they are putting out. Unfortunately, it is just getting progressively worse. But, I guess the best thing for most people to do is try not to let it bother you.

I think alot of it is new people coming here and not reading the forum rules where it specifically says to read the FAQ and do a search before posting anything here. Even I'm getting sick of "Where can I find and intake for my (insert year and engine size here) protege ??"
Or "Where can I find an exhaust for my (insert year and engine size) Protege.
And of course the "MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON WHATS WRONG WITH MY CAR?" Or How about "does the Tornado and/or electric supercharger really work??
Maybe if you're not in to engine upgrades, how about "WHERE CAN I FIND LOWERINGSPRINGS/COILOVERS FOR MY (insert model year) Protege. Maybe you like body kits? How about this: " WHERE CAN I FIND A BODY KIT FOR MY ____ PROTEGE??"
If performance is your thing how about the tried tested and true "HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER WILL I GAIN FROM INTAKE AND/OR EXHAUST??"
Possibly more basic things such as maintenance is your forte'?? How about "WHEN SHOULD i CHANGE TO SYNTHETIC OIL??" or maybe "the owner's manual says I should change my oil every 3000 miles or 3 months is that right??" or, of course, my favorite of them all: 'HOW MUCH MORE HORSE POWER WILL A KNN FILTER GIVE ME??"

I love that ****.

I have pretty much stop posting as much as before due to the lack of helpfulness on the board.

But I admit, I am one of them that might flame people. Because it seems that arguementive reasoning never works...people always seem to reply:

"f-you"
"You don't know what you are talking about"
"Shut the F-up"
etc.

Thus less posting from many of us here.

I don't post as much as I used to

I feel that people are on each others nerve
and you have to be careful on what you say
or you will be smacked senseless

I try to post when I have something useful/funny but not rude
to say

But there is alot of people on the forum that are not asses
They just like to joke around, and some people might be insulted
which is totally understandable. hmm...dunno, but the attitude of the forum in general is getting worse

Probably one of the most enfuriating trends that I have seen on this forum is when someone asks a questions like "has any one tried XYZ product on their car?" and the reply is solely something along the lines of "it sucks" or "it's a waste" with no further explanation as to why they have that opinion.

Those types of answers a) do not provide any insight to the original poster of the question, b) are useless to the other people that might benefit from reading the thread, and c) make a future search on the topic a waste of time.

When people reply, they should really only do so if they have something constructive to add to the discussion at hand.

Just my $0.02

granted some one the pictures posted by "TheMan" are fairly funny but ya know it does wear out if its every other post

oh and one more thing if your against street racing or whatever stay the f**k out the racing storys!! argh! lol

Yeah, I figure that dealing with people like theMAN is a skill you learn in high school or something. Once you get past that bully thing it's not a big deal anymore.

and JAC I remember being cranky with you on something, sorry, I was probably being a sourpuss

and how are things going down there? The news hardly ever says anything.
