I know the man has skills or he would not be on eniemem's label. His main goal right now is to make money. It is a shame that a lot of today's real artists fall into the trap. That is one reason inspiring artist such as myself stay underground, because it is not about talent anymore it is about a gimic to make the record label not the artist. Do you know the artist on;ly makes .5 per album sold. the artist are modern day slaves to the industry

BTW, I listened to some of the songs, one of them is completely horrible, I think it's "gotta get to heaven"... The whole song is literally "I gotta get to heaven for being put through hell" or some stupid **** like that. HORRIBLE. I haven't listened to the rest of the songs too much yet, but they seemed ok.

Yeah Art we hit this topic several time like last night, you know I know about all of that especially with you and sthep you know that joker know everything about the industry. The main problem is everybody burnning or buying bootleg music which kills the artist pocket,bc s we know artist don't make as much money as they front in the videos. To reach that kind of imcome you have to be in it for a while & nahhh I'll leave it like that.
ps give me a call cuz I have the prices on those things for you?

Okay, I see what you're saying but
If you're underground, you get no money or enough recognition
If you blow up, underground calls you fake for blowing up when really you're doing the same thing that you were doing when you were 'underground'.
So what's an artist supposed to do?
You start out underground. If you're good, you make it. If you 'stay underground', well then you're not good enough. It's a different story if you go pop or R&B to make it big.
One good example is Jurassic 5. THey've been doing their thing for almost ten years now, and they haven't changed one bit, but yet after their last album got a lot of recognition everywhere, some are saying that they 'Sold Out'.... How? Just cause they had some succes?

I would NEVER buy the 50-Cent album..
This is off topic, but Makaveli, did you get your name from the man who would do absolutely anything to stay in political power? Or is it just a coincedence? Thanks!

End justifies the means??? Hehehe.......
Well I was a big fan of Makaveli, the rap artist (2Pac)...... and I was obsessed with one of the albums, hence the name.....
I don't agree with the 'end justifies the means' thinking or with some of his other theories from the Prince.....
Go shorty, it's your b-day

to do
the thing for an artist to do is to stay true to himself and not fall into the hype. Take nas for example he went pop for a while with hot boyz, oh and that murder inc talk. On his last album he took it back to the realness that made him a star to begin with. The reason some artists have no staying power is because they have no idenity.

I also like that song that was on one of his mixtapes or something, it's called 'Drunk by myself'......

Guru & premo in an interview said that rap "hip hop" is in a coma with all this junk & that it needs to wake up & get back on track. Tell them gangstar
