Ben and I are not tring to run it, you live about 2 to 3 hours to the north of us. The most of us live in the area of portland. So most of the meets will be down here. Just because most of us are down here. So it does not matter who you have talked to. It matters where the most of us are. So not to make any one mad, but I am not going to drive 2 or 3 hours to have a meet where only one person lives. We can make arangments to meet in the middle sometimes. Ben and I have already talked about this. Besides, no one single person will be incharge, we will elect a Pres. to be kinda like the spokes person, but we will all have a say in what goes on.

Lets get a meet going. How about next weekend? We could meet somewhere in Portland. Say a place that serves beer.

Club

Joe,
Irish (Joe)
In reference to your reply to my email. I was not saying that I was running this ****, and I was not saying I was trying to by myself, I was plain saying that it isn't just you and ben I have been trying to post my *** off so I could get some damn information. But the only person you seem to give any information to is Ben. If you don't remember I was one of the first people to get involved and tried to get everyone's asses moving on this project. I have been asking for numbers and everything, but I am getting nowhere. And in reference to the "President" at this stage in the game it is better off that no one is president because then you get the problem of having power hungry bastards. I would suggest we use a democracy idea...everyone vote, everyone gets their opinion. Makes it all fair. And Joe, try not to be so differential and argumentive at the same time. Some people just like to be involved.

Ben, still waiting for a number man, I got the webspace info from Wil and Mike, just need some member names and specs, as well as some pics to go along so we can get something started. ALL of us need to get involved..enough with just this two person ****, everybody needs to do something of some sort, even if it is throwing flyers into protege owners windows, or leavin cards under winshield wipers..we all gotta contribute if we are going to get this off the ground. Not to mention, a few of us have to settle our differences.

Lightbulb Club

I have an idea guys, thus the lightbulb..lol

Ok in the club I was in, the members were all getting pissed about who was gonna do what and who was president and **** like that. Well the way they solved it is they took the first 4 people to have the idea, the original members, and they were the "founders" of the club. Eg. They tried calling people, left flyers, cards, emails. Whatever they could do. So they were all the contact people. That eliminated the need for a president because they all conversed and everyone knew what was goin on so if any one of them was called, they had the info. Like my bro was in the club, he was the second person to join up and have the idea, he basically took calls and posted flyers and also worked at a parts store, so he got the guys discounts.
His friend dan was the first to have the idea, he worked at an audio shop so he took calls also from the residential area, and he got the word out as well. They all had their tasks.
That way no one had any more power than anyone else, but everyone was in charge of something.
I am more than happy to coordinate the website. It's no problem to me, plus when I go to school I can use the dual t3 connection.
Ben, turbonium, Joe, Jon...pick what you want to do We can all put ourselves down for the contacts. and definately I can get the word out up here in bangor and we can get more frontage for the club. Jon!! you live in a big state (definately a big way to promote) and you portland guys have the best area...everyone down there is an import fan or owner....I mean with all of us working there is no way we can't get this off the ground and make hit big.

Erick

Well, I think we all need to get a meet, between all the founders and/or anyone who wants in. It is very unfortunate that one of the members is in Coast Guard, one is in the Navy, I am full time student, and one does not have the lisence to drive (yet). I think if we keep posting like this, we will not be able to go far. We should have a chat room session, like AIM for example. Then if all can come to the same grounds, perhaps we can accomplish something. As for politics, I do not care if we have any at first. Since there are only four of us, I am sure we will be able to come to some sorts of common grounds. So, Joe has AIM (jojo6714), mine is turbonium959, and we can get to know others, we could decide over many things that way. Let me know what you think guys.

Ok, I agree. We might not need a pres. We will need One person to be like our spokesperson. I like the Idea of the Founders. We could call ourselfs "The founding Fathers" Joking. Prot, I will take a bunch of pictures of my car, and load them to Image Station. I will send you the link to them when I get them up, you in turn could upload them to the web page. I went and looked at the page, I think the first thing a person should see is a picture of all of our cars. Once we get all of our contact info down, I can may the fliers at work. I have access to copiers, and different collors of paper. So we make on flier and I will make a enough for us all to pass out.
I don't have much to offer as far as discounts, but I have the skills and tools at work to make things we might need. I work with all types of metal, and fiberglass, carbon fiber, and kevlar. Soon the Navy is going to pay to send my to school to learn to weld. I can get a discount at a audio shop, I have a friend that owns one. Heres a link to it www.trafficjamcar.com. I can get things at price. I might be able to get him to sponsor us. I will ask him next time I am there.
Erick,
Do you need any more info from me?
Lets get a flyer made so I can get to work on them. When I get them made, I will need your address to send them to you. I think if we all work our areas we'll have a big turn out. I don't see to many Pors in Brunswick but I will look harder. There is also a place in Brunswick call Palmer Sport tunning. We could try there.
Get back to me

Hi, Rider69 from the Central Florida Chapter chiming in. I might have mentioned President in talking with people but never meant it as an all powerful being. The groups cannot be run by one person alone. Basically, I should have said spokesperson instead of President. I feel that all the groups will need a spokesperson to convey to other chapters and speak on behalf of the group. Everyone in the group should have input into what the group does though. Each group will also need a web person to put all the **** up on the site (pics, event info, etc.).

I have drawn up some basic guidelines for membership, you can check that out at ProtegeNetwork Membership Guidelines . If anyone feels any changes can be/should be made, let me know. I plan on putting this on a page before the Join form, so that the people have to AGREE or DISAGREE to the rules before joining.

AS far as flyers to put on cars, I am looking into getting "Business Cards" that have the information on them. You can usually get these pretty cheap and can print off a bunch to get to people. I will let you know what I come up with. Wil is working on the stickers adn he will keep us posted.

We want you guys to succeed as a group/chapter becasue that will help recruit other groups/chapters.

If you guys need anything, let me know...AIM: Rider69mp5
