That's not a 1st Gen.....

I don't know if I would want to buy that...........the frame is bent every way possible and a lot of s#it in and around the car is broken, but yet again it doesn't even have a 100 miles on the motor so it might be worth buying after all................not that I have the cash to do it

Engine and tranny alone are worth $3000. 100 miles; thats a brand new car. Try getting those from mazda for that cheap.

The airbags never went off. That's just weird. They really could have used them in that crash. Stupid things. Something tells me there's a malfunction there somewhere.

the air bag might not have gone off because it was not a head on crash. To me it looks like the dumn *** driver did this. maybe driving to fast on an on ramp or off ramp the car side into the gaurd rails the drivers corner hit and the the impact pushed the front corner away from the rail and the back hit next.

Damit now I'm doing my jop at work whan I want to just play on the net.

P.S. 3,000 was a good price.

I looked at the pictures.. Someone can front clip the car and sell it, and easily recoup a good profit. Didn't notice any rear damage in the pictures I saw, but only breezed through the auction seeing it was over..

yes it is demolished but look at the car, if it was a head on crash then it would be pushed back. instead it's pushed to the side. And this is my job. I look at photos like this every day.

It says right on the page that it was a side impact which is why the airbags didn't go off. And im thinkin its at the junk yard, so the dude who owned it, his insurance company, probably totalled it he just said the hell with it, gave to the junk yard and the junk yard just wants to get rid of it and a $3000 profit is good in his head. And it would take alot of time for him to part it out, i would think. But i don't think TOO much. anyway BLAH

Anyone have a guess as to how fast that car was going?

The frame is twisted so it's obviously toast.. but as far as totalled goes.. don't think I've seen many totalled cars in nicer shape then that.. hehe

Looking at the front of the car, and looking at pictures of my 20mph sideways impact on my LX, I would say if he hit the corner of the front, while spinning, he could have been travelling between 20 and 40 mph. Or maybe 200mph, what do I know!

;-)
