I have a 04' Black base model SRT-4 with the viper style seats. Only 3k miles on the clock. I've had it for just about 3 months. Always warmed up and cooled down. The only mods are mopar BOP and tints. Brand new condition, well, it pretty much is brand new. Located in SoCal.

wow, you sure you want to make this trade? It seems most MSP owners trade into the SRT when the can't get any speed out of their cars.
I personally think the MSP is a much nicer overall car, but the Neon will own it on the track. Any particular reason why you want a 'Speed?

MSRP on the MSP's are $20,500.+ttl......however, MANY dealerships are liquidating their inventory and they can be had brand new for about $16K+ttl. This is your best bet. They will probably give you a healthy bit on your trade. I would love to purchase your car as a toy for me, but I got rid of my MSP for a P5.
I think you'll be very happy with a mazda product. They are very nice cars and very well built.
Another thing to think about is a new Mazda3. They are VERY well priced and come with a 2.3L engine making 160hp. The MSP only makes 170hp. I have seen local M3's selling for $17K msrp....invoice is about $15.5......look into that. The M3 is AMAZING and comes with a LOT of features that the MSP doesn't. HID's, Nav, illuminescent guages.....just check it out. It looks like you could get a new car for the same price or less than a used one.

hmm.... I would think that with the abundance of tuners creating turbo kits for the 2.3L "3" that I would hold off for that. Look at how the turbo P5's are so much faster then the MSP's. Mazda doesn't have a great record with factory turbo cars.
My recommendation (based on how I would spend the money) would be to purchase a nice, loaded Mazda3s and start collecting your small bolt-ons...intake, exhaust, cams, ecu, etc.....once thats done if you're still not happy you could sell all of your mods and purchase a small turbo kit (keep the Ecu though!). This way you are afforded a very nice NEW car with a host of mods that will make similar power from "go" and you still have the upgradability for the long term. There are like 5 different turbo kits for the protege and they dont make it anymore. I know of 2 turbo kits in the works right now for the "3" so the tuning market is going to support you.
Ultimatly, the choice is yours. I'm a big fan of the P5 wagon and the 3s wagon....both great cars with a lot of potential. The MSP is nice, but it's a compromise and more expensive.

I thought it over a bit, and after finding out that MSP's dont have moonroofs, ive decided that I'd rather trade for either 4 or 5 door Mazda3 S's with leather and HID's, and a moonroof of course. Thats about all im lookin for in it. Also Ill take trades for mazda6 S's, with the same.

good call. I'm a big sunroof fan myself. I don't like verts, but sunroofs (not moonroofs) are a big + in my book.
I think you'd be very happy with a 3S (wagon). They are VERY nice cars.
