maybe the driver of the rx8 doesn't know how to drive

 

good clip but it looks like the rx8 owner is either an automatic or doesn't know how to launch the rotary engine.

 

hmmm, wow im off the subject but this is filmed somewhere in russia (judging by the tags and language).... isn't there a difference in European Rx8 and 3 from US?.....

 

no because all 3's (or at least i think) are made in Japan, mine was. Now i dont know about the RX-8 tho so someone else will have to clarify that

Plus maybe its not a Stock Mazda 3 You can't tell without looking under the hood

The European RX-8 has a little less hp than the US spec I believe... It was rated at 230 last time I saw.

maybe that's just mean, but big deal an RX-8 is not exactly the fastest car on the block or anything....

 

It's definately a 5 speed, but that guy shifted really really slowly. RX-8s are also slower than almost all factory sports cars in a straight line. Get them on a real track and the outcome probably would have been a little different.

Lol, the guy didn't even chirp the tires on the launch from what i saw...

Most likely the fault of a shitty driver, or maybe they make Diesel RX-8's in europe =P

 

Stock for stock, no way the 3 wins. There are just too many variables in the video obviously to make any conclusion. I've quite a few stock 8's run between 14.5 and 14.9 quarter miles, nothing ground breaking but enough to handily beat a 3.

 

like i said, i just thot it was funny and cool but NOOOO we are allways taking stuff completely litaraly, i mean good grief live a little
