what's wrong?
My 2005 Mazda 3 Hatchbank has 88,000 miles. Seems like it would be time for a major tune up, is that right?
I've kept it serviced and well maintained but now when I start it, it seems to be struggling to get going. Could that be spark plugs?
I got a new air filter in Dec. and just had the oil changed 2000 miles ago and suddenly it's doing this.
Once it's warmed up it is fine.......but that cold engine struggle is worrying me.
Thanks for the advice.

new spark plugs could definitely be the trick! (especially if your spark plugs are original) i had original spark plugs in my car and they had 75,000 miles on them! i put new ones in, NGK IX Iridiums, and gapped them at 0.44 they did a world of difference! alot faster throttle response, i kinda had a little chug when id hit the gas and now thats gone, and i literally got like 15-20 more miles on a full tank of gas! (not sure how that translates per gallon lol)

Great news
Wonderful news! It wasn't the spark plugs at all. It was a dirty intake sensor. The coolest mechanic checked her out and that was all he found wrong. Did not charge me! I was so jazzed. Thanks for your support.
