Question Throttle response

I have a '07 Mazda 3 Hatch, and have owned it for 2 months. At first it seamed great but now after spending 2k miles behind the wheel I've noticed a few issues. The throttle response is no were close to instant. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this and if so do you know if there is a remedy to fix or improve this issue? I also noticed that the car is not as stiff in the turns as it seemed to be the day I purchased it. Is there anyone that makes strut braces for the 3? Thank you for any good advice!

I think you might just be getting used to the car by now, and it just doesn't "feel" as fast or tight around the corners. Everything should still be alright I hope. GTSpec should make strut braces for the 3, and there's actually a sale on this forum for a whole lot of different suspension parts. See link below for details, there are no Mazda 3 parts listed but he should be able to get you some anyway.

Have you changed the oil since you've taken ownership of it? Brand new engines need oil changed more frequently than once they're worn in, so that could be a factor.

Your right, I'm getting use to the car and have started seeing the areas that could use improvment. I will have the oil changed tomorrow even though the car only has 2029 miles on it. Thank you for your advice

a ground kit (home made or like the buddy club condenser kit) should help you in throtle response. it wasn't a drastic difference, but it is noticeable.

here's my setup (please ignore the stock air box)
