Question Mazda3 Turbo

I am new here and discovered this forum while searching the internet for some info on a possible supercharger or turbo kit for my 05' Mazda3. I read some interesting post and info from Jaun at Hiboost.com. Is that kit now available and if so what is the price? In less than 3 months I have managed over 5000 miles on my 3. And that was even while I was on tour for 6 weeks. My room mate drove my car some while I was gone and fell in love with it! I had to pry the keys from his hand when I returned!

Yeah, Juan is a great guy. His kit is available and makes about 240whp @ 8psi....cost is about $4000+shipping.

just FYI, most stock evo's and sti's make about 240-250whp in a heavier car....of course they have AWD launch...so race them from a roll and kick their crap.

Welcome to the forum.

I am not really looking to "race" anyone. LOL But I would like to dust my girlfriends GTI 1.8 Turbo. Thanks for the info on Jaun. I went to their website and everything looks great! I am a "adult" driver and I've gotten most of redline fever out by now. But...the stock 160 HP in the 2.3 needs just a little more kick. Take care and have a great holiday.

same to you.

The duratec engine used in the new 3's is very strong. Focus guys are getting a lot of good power out of them....I've seen a few NA 230whp cars. With FI you'd easily be over 400hp.

Thumbs up

^^^^The Cosworth d-Power stage III will get you there (230whp). It is a bad *** motor.

Boys, its not a duratec, nothing is shared with it, its a much better engine. The Mazda engine and driveline is very strong, i am not too sure about the GTI's 0-60 time or your girlfriends driving abilities, but i don't think you will be much behind her as it stands.

sorry but it IS a ford duratec engine. The parts are interchangeable except for the fact our ecu will reject them.

don't worry boys, the current duratec 23 is an adaptation of the mazda engine, so you're both right.

cocdrummer for more info on the hiboost kit visit hiboost.com or mazda3online.com (Ken's site).

Draxas did a turbo on the 2.3l fusion at sema. The 3.0 fusion is the same engine tranny and PCM as the 3.0 Mazda6. so the 2.3 fusion is more than likely the same as the 2.3 in the 6 and 3
