m3 intake problems

alright guys, i installed kargoboy's simota intake a while back, it threw too many cel's so i took it back off. I just tried it again this past week and the cel's came on everyonce in a while but not as much. I have heard that these intakes hardly throw any Cel's, whats the deal?
I know it is installed right, anything else i can do? i didn't think i would have to manage my fuel system just for an intake.

Hey, the only code i threw when i put on the intake was right afterwards I get "Coolant temp below regulating thermostant" or "Coolant temp unstable operation"

How's the fit of the MAF against the intake tube? Is it tightened down on all four corners completely?
It's true, I've never get any complaints about the A/F CEL with this intake.

I have had mine installed for a year or so and have not had 1 CEL. I'm thinking it could be your censor and not the intake.

i noticed when installing it, that the maf had a rough time fitting perfectly in the intake, but i am pretty sure i got it in there good. Maybe i will give it another good try...
on a second note, what is the best way to clean the maf if it looks sort of dirty?

A spray "MAF cleaner" is sold at auto parts stores, usually near the other cleaners like brake cleaner, battery terminal cleaner, eletronics cleaner, etc. Just give it a bunch of sprays of that and it should be golden.
