Question Intake Help ASAP!!!!!

So I bought a cold air intake off e-bay, tried to install it, and it was getting to dark so I did a quick short ram intake to drive it up to the garage. Car started and shut off in a matter of seconds.

I still have yet to install the entire intake, but why wont it start, whats the problem there, will this come up again in the future?

I searched around for this question and read that people needed to reset the ECU, so maybe I need to do that. But how? (I am the guy getting hit!)

I need serious help, asap!!!!

Is your MAF sensor unplugged, not installed, or installed pointing backwards? (it should have an arrow pointing in the direction of airflow, i.e. point the arrow in the direction of the throttle body)

I think that the MAF (no idea what that is) was not connected. No it works like a charm. The thing sounds like a muscle car when at high revs.

SSSSOOOOOOO kewl.

Thanks again though, and go to the site, wicked awesome and helped me out a bunch
