fuel pump

Hello guys....please help me....I'm a one who cares alot about his car and I'm sooooooooooooooooo depressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A week ago, I droved over a stone or a rock....I dont know what is the hell it was...and the car stopped..it hit the fuel tank and broked a the down part of the fuel pump....the man who fixed it he said the he checked the pump and nothing is wrong..and we changed that part..but the fuel gauge is not working correctly....it sometimes indicate to more fuel and then back to right state...so some times it works in correct manner and sometimes it indicate to more fuel...by raising up a one line in the indicator.....and I feel and I'm sure that the acceliration of the car is not as what it was..............................please help me

the gauge being off seems more like a problem with the float in the tank, vs a problem with the pump. My $.02

Thanx Icspots.....but do you know what's the solution to this problem??? Is calibrating the gauge or change it to new one????and if the calibrating a good solution, how could I calibrate the gauge????????????

Is your car still under warranty? If so take it to the dealer. I don't really know anything about calibrating the fuel gauge though.

I solved the problem man.....the problem was a dirty fuel as I think....or it is mistake in reconnecting the parts....because we just cleaned every part....and we checked every part....and we didn't fix or replaced any part....and the can is under test now..I droved it a 80 KM till now....and evey thing is ok till now.....
