So im a newer car enthusiast, i hadnt bothered to get my first car for too long, and some friends offered me a free protege. The catch is i have to replace the engine, the original engine blew a rod through the chasis of the engine almost a year ago. This isnt my first time working on a car, but it is my first time messing with an engine. I figured that since i need to go through getting an engine lift and replacing the engine anyway, i might as well make it more than worthwile, and do some crazy engine swap. I cant find any decent suggestions on what to actually throw in there. I really want to put a mustang engine in it just because i think itd be hilarious to have a 5l cougar or some **** in a frikkin protege lol, but i have no idea what else id have to do. Im gonna convert it to rear wheel drive first, whatever engine ends up in it, what do yall think?
