2018 Mazda 3 Sport 2.0L Clutch Squeal When Engaged
Okay, So a few things...
2018 Mazda 3 Sport (Mexican Built) 2.0l
We Just did a water pump replacement and Belts and Tensioner Pulley. (Thanks to my Brotha Tommy Reppin' OC , Oregon ) There was a squeaky sound that we thought was either the water pump or clutch.
So I after very careful observation, we noticed the water pump had a very loose bearing.
After Installing a new PumpKit it still made this sound.
So My buddy thinks it's a Throw Out Bearing.
So thinking we might have to replace the clutch I got a Sachs Kit K70675-01 .
I'm not entirely sure this kit is right for this car. I can't look it up on sachs Website and narrow it down to a Mexican Built 2.0l
We've been watching DIY videos on youtube all the way up to a 2.0l 2014 Model. Those guys remove it on the ground Using a couple of floor jacks.
We were prepared to do the same but noticed the subframe is slightly in the way of this thing coming out.
HERES MY QUESTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY:
1) Has anyone replaced a 2018 Mazda 3 Clutch and If so, How did you do it?
Does it HAVE to be on the lift removing the sub frame?
2) Has anyone gone though this clutch issue? If you have experience with replacing the clutch, what one did you order?
The dealership only had every individual part listed .... not as a kit.
