I'm looking to get snow tires for my wife's Mazda3, and I found some on CL that a guy had on his RX-7. The offset for the RX-7 is listed as 40mm, and the Mazda3 appears to be 52.5mm. I realize there may be some effect on handling, but my wife drove the car when it was severely out of alignment and didn't notice, so I'm not worried about that. Will I have any issues with rubbing? Looks like the same width wheel, so I believe that means the inner lip of the wheel will move 1/2" (12.5mm) closer to the car.
