threw a CEL lastnight and had to recheck my CAI. Reset the ECU and converted my CAI to a SRI.

 

Do you like the way it sounds as a SRI better?

 

Not really. Under 3k I can't hear anything but the engine but once i'm over 3.5rpms I hear the intake. Overall I am not pleased with this F2 intake even though they said its the best CAI for the 3. It produces the most whp since its a 3inch piping. I'm considering buying an MS CAI or an ingen.

 

I'd go for the MS since oem-ish stuff is always nice

 

yea i'm leaning towards that too. I just checked out PG and how much they was asking for it. So within a couple of weeks that will be my next purchase....right after I get my exhaust installed and order my HID fogs.

 

How does Gary's Simota stack up to the MS CAI? Might be a cheaper alternative if they're the same product.

 

I gave my F2 Intake the finger today.

 

NICE how much HP did you gain from that one ive been thinking about that one myself for a while......lol

 

An intake won't give you much HP to brag about, only a few to the wheels. However, it gives a bit better mpg, a real nice sound, and will really help the car breathe for future mods like a turbo.
