Hi everyone,

I have a 2010 Mazda 3 2.5 automatic with about 97k on the clock. 2 days ago driving in the rain my car shifted from 1st to 2nd, 2nd was more like neutral and 3rd picked up. Since then 2nd has been intermittent, manual mode from 3rd to 2nd works fine. It's 1st to second it only likes it sometimes and even then it will only stay in gear up to 2500rpm. Now reverse doesn't work. Just had my AT light come on but isn't on Everytime I start/drive the car.

Obviously I don't want to drive it now, fluids are at level. Brought it to a local transmission shop who said they don't rebuild these but would replace it for 3000 out the door because it is definitely shot.

Any advice would be a huge help. I am trying to find a shop that would do a few more diagnostics or even rebuild. Maybe find a used/rebuilt online? Any help would be greatly appreciated
