Speed chip?

I found this "speed chip" or something like that, that supposedly makes it so you can get a little more power out of your car... Here is the link for it. Let me know what you all think... Do you think this would work for my car? (My car specs are in my signature).

If it isn't from a well know manufacture I wouldn't waist the money. So far mazda don't like these things.

Unfortunately no. I don't know the hole details but basicly there is no chip and our ecus wont let us alter them at all. The only way is to do a stand alone or an MP3 ecu (wich im looking for now).

It may or may not have it's merits... I placed different resistors on my Honda crx IAT Very tiny improvement at best, but it used way more fuel. On my Jeep 4.0, I realized a gain of 5 hp after repositioning the IAT fron the aluminum intake manifold (140 degrees all the time) to the airbox (REAL ambient air temp) and better fuel mileage.

But the 3 has a composite intake system, so temps are not an issue. The IAT is reading real time air temps. Spoofing the signal with a resistor will only result in a voided warranty and/or a check engine light on. The 3's computer is pretty advanced, (OBDIII, CAN bus, ect, ect) and it'll work around a resistor like that and render it's effect useless by means of correlation from other sensors; It knows what it SHOULD read, and if the signal isn't what it expects, it ignores it, extrapolates a substitute value and puts on the check engine light.

anyone hear about some underdrive pulleys coming out yet for the 3, or any other performance mods other than intake and exhaust.
