Recommended Boost controller?

for all of the Speed3 and Speed6 owners, if you have a boost controller, what kind do you have and what do you think of it. A friend of mines is trying to sell me a GReddy electronic Boost Controller, and a different friend said that electronic BCs arent that good...

Electronic Boost Controllers aren't that good? Where does he base his info? An EBC is going to be able to hold and control boost MUCH better than a MBC. Manual Boost Controllers are known for a greater chance at spike and not being able to maintain the specified boost level as well as an EBC. What GReddy EBC is he trying to sell you and how much? GReddy makes a great product and if he's selling it for a decent price it's definitly worth buying IMO.

All electronic boost controllers (as far as I am aware) will automatically acclimate to changing environment (elevation as well as temperature) to consistently provide the boost level you set them at. Since a manual boost controller is mechanical, it won't do this. For example, at 0 degrees C, I boost 7.5psi, but at 30C, it's more like 5-5.5.

i hated my GReddy boost controller. keep in mind that on the speed3 and speed6 if you play with the boost too much the factory computer will recognize it and try to cut it back.
