Radio Display

Driving my 3 the other day and the sun came into the window shinnig on my radio display. I then notice a kinda of HVAC diplay on the right side of display. It looks like there should be a HVAC display in side the radio diplay. I guess to show you what you have your controls on. Does anybody else see this or have it. Let me know cause I hope its just not me. I also want it working.

alexa... yes everyone has this, and reason is because mazda being cheap sob's used the same display as the mazda6. in the 6 all of those controls are working in our cars its just some extra space. i am sure down the road some one will find a way to get into the comp and add the correct 1's and 0's to add a temp probe and some digital climate controls but until then you are sol man.... sorry for the bad news

Actually, if you look at the Japanese website for the Axela, you'll see that over in Japan this car has an automatic climate control system, hence the vestigal display for North America. Theoretically, if you wanted to spend enough $$, you could probably convert your car to the JDM system. Come to Canada, and you can't get the NAV, Xenons, or even side airbags!! I guess we Canucks aren't allowed to get lost in the dark and have an accident...

We United states people can have those. From what I see the only things we can't is the auto lights and the auto windshield wipers. Also if you look at the top of the "coin holder" on the left side of the 3 you see some sort of port like for some electric devise. I wonder what goes there. And yeah your looking at Mazda's entry level car. They had to cut corners somewhere. One thing I need to get a new one of is a new rear view mirror. The one that comes with the 3 is so hard to move. In my last car it moved like silk you could get it to the perfect position so easily.

But my 3 DOES have the auto-headlights and rain-sensing wipers... Weird.

Guys go to the canada sight and look for the 4 door version of the 3 and look in the audio section http://www.mazda.ca/root.asp. There you should see a picture of the 3 with the auto climate control. Mazda wasn't being cheep they just are giving all the best features to someone else.
