Not so much a problem but an annoyance.

Most other cars I have driven/ridden the front doors will unlock and open with a single pull of the inside door release.

The doors on my "3" must first be unlocked and only then can I open the door, a two step process.

true but the mazda 3 is based on the c1 platform of the euro focus. it shares the engine, drivetrain, and suspension with the focus and styling of the volvo s40. it has been tweeked slightly by japan so they can call it their own. in 2006 you will see a lot of similar 3's with a focus logo. so its not like the 3 is a completely new car itself.

Angry AT Transmission downed

Hi,

I got my new M3 on july 2th, and yesterday coming back from work at 100 km/h, my automatic transmission decided, after 1505 km exactly, that it was enough for her. I'm very dissapointed right now.

Right now I've got a M3 Gx while they fix my GS. I'm currently very upset about the car considering the fact that I didn't drove her like crazy. I've seen 1990 cars do much better.

Anyone had similar troubles ?

Post have any recent buyers had problems

Ok, only the people that have had problems have talked here except for 1 person. Could all the people that have not had any problems with their 3 speak up so I can get a comparison? I am planning on saving some money by buying an 04 when the 05s come so anyone that has not had a problem and has their car for more then 2 weeks please speak up.

Hey everyone,

I've had a belt tensioner pulley snap in half about a month ago (had about 5000 miles on it) and so far I've had one flat tire (stinking NYC and their potholes... I swear that thing was the size of a swimming pool, too bad I was sitting behind a huge truck and I didn't see it coming, not that it would have mattered 'cause there was a sidewalk to my right and another car to my left), and I had a huge bolt go through my right rear tire AND RIM (costs about 260 for 17 in rims, and about the same for the Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires). The tire/rim issues aren't a quality problem, but I'm really considering getting Kevlar armored tires. The tensioner pulley issue.... well I just don't know what to think about that one, and neither did the dealership.

I've been noticing a lot of bugs on my car. I would clean my car, drive down the road 5 to 10 miles and I would have bugs all over the front. Anywhos, I feel bad for you char, when I bought my 3 I got this extra warrenty for 200 some dollars which covered my wheels and tires. The dealer told me the warrenty would replace the wheel if I ever got a scratch on it or bent it and that if my tires got slashed or were getting a little low on tred to stick some nails in the road and run over them (with a min. of 2/32" tred on them, which is nothing).

I've only got 1000 miles on mine and it's been trouble-free. Only complaint is that the AC isn't very cold at all.
