Problem starting the car from the first time

hi, this is my very first topic (so pllllz help me out here! )
I have a problem starting my 2005 Mazda 3. In the morning (when the car is very cold) it's impassible to start it from the first time, it gives u the impression that it wil but it won't. Also, if it's worm, so I went to the agent's shop and they tought me a trick to start it , they told me to put the egnition in ON for a while and then turn it off and then start the car, and about the solution, they told me it's may be the Plugs and the full option cars need a special type , or the fuel pumb doesn't charge quickly. so, any one has an idea??
