Oil change

I have new, 2006 Mazda-3 GT that needs first oil change. I have two questions about it;
1. What is the size of wrench for oil nut?
2. If I do change oil by my self, is it that okay with my warranty, and keeping the track in Mazda's book?
Thanks!

Not sure about the warranty. I'm keeping track of everything I do on my car

17mm and 6mm hex for the drain plug, I'm assuming that you have the 2.3L.

Yes, it's 2.3, and I tried with 21mm, and did not work, it was too small!(???)
I must be had a wrong shape?

misha,
If you are not sure how to do it, either find someone the help you the first time or go somewhere and change it for $20.
If you live in the bay area I might be able to help
if not I can at least let you know how to do it step-by-step
