Question Oil Change

How much is the oil change at the dealer?
Where are other good places to get an oil change for a mazda 3 other than the dealer? Jiffy Lube? Shell? I have the instructions on how to change it on my own but sometimes i don't feel like doing it or don't have time. Whats a good place to go for an oil change?

If you have the cartridge filter and don't feel like doing it yoursefl, the dealer is the ONLY place I would recommend you take it. I work at a dealership and constantly see the oil filter caps on Ecotec engines cracked or leaking due to a "Junky Lube" type oil change place not knowing what in the hell they're doing.

My dealer charged 5 dollars less for a synthetic oil change than my local lube shops here that I wouldn't trust with a damn wrench...

Go to the dealer

Either the dealer, or your own garage...dont trust those freakin monkeys that work at jiffy lube or other quick lube places. I think my dealer charges 20 somethin bucks for an oil change and filter.

yeah I once took my old corolla to a Shell and drove it around, all of a sudden my power steering went out and my battery light came out. It freaked me out, basically my steering locked up, it was a miracle that I didn't get into an accident, and that my battery didn't die before I got home. What ended up happening was they loosened my belt tensioner in order to get to my oil filter, next thing you know the belt flies out, along with the usage of my power steering and alternator!!!! Very bad things could have happened.... for such a stupid simple thing of negligence, I WILL NEVER EVER TAKE IT BACK THERE OR ANY SMALL LUBE PLACE AGAIN! I usually do my own changes but sometimes I don't have time...ofcourse they wouldn't takek responsibility of it either, Ididn't make a fuss over it and ended up just buying a new set of belts and changed it myself.
