Than that explains why you bought the 13" keystone wheels for "mom's car". Dont use college as an excuse. There are plenty of college kids driving some of the pimpest car to date. I went to college and had a bad a## car. I just wanted to point out you should of waited to buy wheels until you could of afford something that looks sweet. You were just impatient and just couldn't wait. Thats part of being a child.

Oh yeah..Belletire just called .....My wheels are in

I went with 265/30/19 toyo 4' rear & 235/30/19 frt on MMr GT1

I post some pictures...

Hey what size motor did you get.....Did you cough the extra $$ for the 2.3l at least

no, not college kids who are 19 who pay for college themselves and have a nice car! that would mean mommy and daddy bought it for them....anyways, i really hate arguing and it just pisses me off even though i dont know you. nice wheels even though i have no idea what they are. o yeah, its the 2.3, not that that means much! Soooo to stop this dumb **** conversation, i will tell you what you want to hear...you win
( i posted this to see what people thought about my rims, not for people to brag about theirs to me)

Hey Robts, leave the kid alone. He asked a question, and you answered with your opinion and then some. This is a place to share information about a car we all have, not to make fun of or belittle people we've never met. Lots of people like the wheels he has, but if they're not your thing then just say so and leave it at that.

You've made five posts, and 4 of them have been trolling in this thread.

nice rims...in ihs guys defense, my personal opinion is 20's on an econobox is a bad idea...

not only does it make the car slower, it makes it harder to brake, and plus it just looks like something off "pimp my ride"

"youve got to pimp my riiiiiiide. damn right. "

A vehicle's rotational weight includes all parts that spin including everything in the vehicle's driveline from the engine's crankshaft to its wheels and tires. This affects the energy required to change speed as the vehicle accelerates and brakes. As you would guess, reducing the weight of any of these rotating components will enhance the vehicle's performance because less energy will be required to increase or decrease their speed. In comparison, increasing the weight would deteriorate the performance of the vehicle. As you stated Robts, a Mazda 3 is "an economy car. Not a race car". Thus, adding extremely heavy wheels would only eliminate whatever performance you think the 3 has. It is not a turbo'ed behemoth like your SUPERDUTY (which there are still no pics of).

Lhsguy, I think your car looks great! I also payed my way through college, and I wished I had a car that looks as good as yours. Don't worry about what some meat-head football player (who bases his entire life on how cool he was in high-school and college) has to say. He's probably broke and miserable anyway. And here is where I embed some smiley face to make myself even cooler:

Those are pretty sweet, go nicely with the color of your car. I just recently got an 07 3s 5 door and am thinking about new wheels, it has the stock 17" alloy wheels on it now, would it do anything performance wise except drag it down to get 18s or should i just stick with the 17s?

depends on the weight of the 18's, you can find them really light some places. i wanted 18's, but as previously stated...the whole tire issue! hope you find some nice ones

Performance Wheels...

If your looking for performance out of your wheels...look into "forged" alloy wheels. Kind of spendie but you can achieve a pound per inch, like Gram Lights. A company out there is playing with carbon fiber wheels for street. A true solid carbon fiber face/center with forged alloy lip. Crazy...huh...

Exclamation In regards to wheels over stock...

I'm fairly certain I don't want to pimp my ride nor affix some crazy turbo on my new baby for quite some time. (In the military and deployment = no real enjoyment of either that are done to my car)

I got the 06 Mazda3 s Grand Touring. Black leather interior and the exterior color is something of a Copper Mica Red....not really red, not really maroon and not quite copper. ;-p

Im debating on whether or not to get 18's or stay stock and as far as rim styling....perhaps chrome or something black much like HSGuy's rims....any suggestions/pics/insight would be awesome....

send word....

from my end of the post...i suggest not getting chrome...not only is it very hard to repair if damaged (curb rash), it also adds weight...
