New here, hoping for some help.

Hey, I just picked up a 2008 Mazda 3 S 2.3 5-door with a 5 speed AT with 35,7xx on the odo. Basically I am wanting to do a couple mods to, mainly bolt-ons, CAI, maybe a header, and possibly exhaust. However I am stumped on the exhaust. I don't want something that's going to make my car sound like a bumble bee under high acceleration. I understand this is kind of hard to do on a 4 cylinder, but I am hoping there is something out there that someone knows about or has.

Also, I am looking at a bunch of different CAI, mainly that Dragon-R intakes. Anyone have an opinion on those?

What about tuning chips? You know like Superchips, Hypertech etc. Are those available for these cars or even do anything if they are? I read a couple threads on here, dated back in like 2007 to like 2011, saying they did not do anything performance wise. All input is greatly appreciated and I will not take offense to being schooled on these cars. Thanks guys!

Just got to a Muffler Shop and have them build you a custom setup!..

Thats what I plan to do vs. buying a $600+ one.

I have the Corksport SRI....Works pretty well!

To be fair, the 600 dollar one was tuned to sound good with your particular car and the nice ones have mandrel bends and stainless steel or even titanium construction.

You can youtube "mazda3 exhaust" and get an idea how each one sounds. Here's the Magnaflow:
