The new 3, went for it!

I have to admit it was sad to say farewell to my P5, but after some deliberation, I finally decided to trade up to a new 3 over this past weekend. Just to ease the hurt a little bit from severing the attachment I had to my P5, i made sure to get it in silver I went for the 3s Touring hatch with manual trans, no other options. Drove it off the lot with just under 4 miles on the odo (came in off the truck a day earlier and their service department is down the street). After 300 miles, I like the ride very much, and I'm glad I went for it! Thanks to everyone (especially Matty) who helped me out when I was asking for advice earlier! I definitely feel like I went in there with the proper knowledge and arrangements to drive off with a new car on my terms and to my satisfaction! It's bone stock, but I'll still post up some pics as soon as I dust off the cobwebs from my super high tech 3 megapixel digi cam... See you guys in the Mazda3 subset!

~Adam

BTW, think I should be changing my forum name?

Nice! You got the same car as me, except mine is Titanium Grey!
Is it an 07 or 06?

Check out these HOW-TO's for some quick and simple mods that will make it just a bit more fun to drive without spending much money at all!

^ Probably the Best near-free mod i've done so far...
1) because it's COMPLETELY free, don't need to buy wires or anything
2) Makes a nice intake-like growl when u step on it.

^Completely Safe, makes the tach go down immediately after u let off the throttle instead of it kind of chillin' where it was for a 1/4 of a second first. (Stupid Electronic Throttle Bodys)

^ Also Completely Safe, I did it last weekend, and I am a warrenty / safety freak, it adds alittle more power if you are willing to buy 89-octane.

Have fun with your new 3s! I know i do!

Hey Macdaddy, it's ok! I feel I got a fair deal, seeing as I'm sure they wouldn't have offered me nearly as much for my pro5 trade in if they gave me s-plan pricing on the new car. I see it either way as everything coming out in the wash. I was willing to pay over invoice because I got much more than my trade-in was valued at and I got my own financing with a pretty low rate. In the end, my monthly payments are lower, and I paid absolutely $0 out of pocket, so the immediate financial impact was minimal to non-existent (now, if only I am garunteed a kick-*** job after grad school!)

p.s. Mine is a sunlight silver '07!
