New 2007 2.0L iTouring - strange noises after engine off

Just bought a new 2007 and noticed that after I shut the engine off after I get from work. I can hear kind of a low pitched electrical humming sound for about a minute coming from the rear of the car underneath (possibly the fuel pump? but what is it doing?) Then, after that noise stops I hear a higher pitched noise possibly from the engine compartment for another minute.

Anyone experienced this? I have never had a car do this and am curious what it is. Thanks!!!

did you have the AC on? im not sure what the noise is exactly, but it is a normal thing for the AC to do after it shuts down.

By the way, does anyone know how the side sill extensions, fog lights, and the wing spoiler are attatched? I want to purchase these for my 2007 3I touring, but I am affraid of having holes drilled all over the body. If anyone has had these installed, please let me know how it's done or if it can be done myself!!!!!!Thanx!!!!
