I was at a few Mazda dealers today looking around and I noticed that both dealers had a least 6 used 2004 3's on the lot. What's up with this? Why are so many people trading in this car. Are there alot of problems with this model? I really like the car but it is very strange to see so many used ones on the lots.

 

Probably people who bought the car, realized they couldnt make the payments then traded them in...could also possibly be test or demo models....i havent seen a single used one on a lot yet.

 

What dealer was this and do they have a website? I am trying to find some used Mazda 3's, as I am working on compiling some for when i want to buy one. I've checked autotrader but that's about it.

when I worked at the dealership we would get all of these kids in and we'd basically hose them and put them in a car we KNEW they couldn't afford just so we'd make the sale. 2 months later the kid has to get rid of it so we get the car back, roll the negative equity into a pre-owned car that has MUCH more mark-up in it and make our maney back 3 fold....all the while looking like the good guy.

 

The dealers were Wayne Mazda and Ramsey Mazda both in NJ.
