Hi, my wife's 2009 US mazda 3 manual has a mystery hot-spot on the central console on the passenger side. The passenger experiences quite noticeable heat around about knee height (approximately level with fan temp control dial.). This happens when either heating/ac is on or off and is more noticeable in summer as I'm usually wearing shorts when I travel as a passenger.

Any ideas and fixes would be gratefully received.
